18 Hole Course
Founded as a members’ Club in 1900, West Essex was designed by James Braid and is a challenging parkland course measuring 6,289 yards from the medal tees.
The shorter front nine provides a test of accuracy with tree lined fairways that meander through the picturesque and undulating countryside. At its highest point, the 9th tee offers some panoramic views over the City of London.
By contrast the back nine is more open and longer and the 16th, 17th and 18th holes provide a challenging finish even to the most accomplished golfer. West Essex is renowned for the quality of its greens and the practice facilities are second to none with a large driving range plus practice bunkers and a green for pitching and chipping.
