How to join

West Essex Golf Club was established in 1900 and is a delightful quiet course situated 10 miles from the centre of The City of London and 4 miles from the M25.

We encourage potential members to come and play the course to see if it suits them and to sample the friendly atmosphere. Rather than tell you that this is a friendly club we prefer you to see for yourself.

We have a full competitions calendar which can be viewed in the Members area and a busy social calendar too. In August we host a week long Festival of Golf for all golfers, which finishes with a huge Festival Party.

New membership for only £600!

West Essex have introduced a new innovative Membership aimed at those golfers that can play on a weekend and after work during the week. This new "off peak" membership entitles people to play their golf at anytime on a Sunday and during the week (Monday - Friday) after 4.30pm. There is no need to book a tee time, just turn up an play!

This new membership category will be entitled to full membership facilities including competitions on the dates their membership allows, access to the bar , restaurant, social events , golf range and academy course.

Further, These members can pay a members green fee to play outside their membership category (i.e. Saturday & before 4.30pm Monday - Friday) subject to how busy the course is. This membership will initially be introduced on a 1 year trial basis and only open to NEW members i..e. Current members cannot switch to this category.
